What Kernel (BYOK) is for
Kernel (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kernel data through the Kernel API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_browser_sessions, list_browser_pools, list_profiles, list_extensions, list_apps, list_deployments, list_invocations, list_projects, get_organization_limits, get_authentication_context). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.onkernel.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kernel. Kernel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Kernel browser sessions are running and how long have they been up?"
- "How many browsers are available in my Kernel pools?"
- "Which browser profiles do I have in Kernel?"
- "Which Chrome extensions have I uploaded to Kernel?"
- "Which apps have I deployed to Kernel?"
- "Did my last Kernel deployment succeed?"
What it does
list_browser_sessions: List cloud browser sessions with name, region, size, stealth and headless flags, uptime and creation time (connection URLs are not returned). Active sessions by default.list_browser_pools: List browser pools (pre-warmed browsers) with size, acquired and available counts, region and creation time.list_profiles: List saved browser profiles (reusable browser state) with name and creation, update and last used times.list_extensions: List browser extensions uploaded to Kernel with name, size and last used time.list_apps: List deployed Kernel apps with version, region, deployment ID and the actions each exposes (environment variables are not returned).list_deployments: List app deployments with status, region, source type and reference, and timing (environment variables are not returned).list_invocations: List app action invocations with app, action, status, reason and start and finish times (payloads and outputs are not returned). Filter by app, action, status or time.list_projects: List projects of the organization with name, status and dates.get_organization_limits: Show the organization's Kernel limits and usage: concurrent browser sessions used and available, vaults and auth connections used.get_authentication_context: Show which organization and principal the API key authenticates as and the scope it holds.
BYOK key
You bring your own Kernel API key (https://dashboard.onkernel.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.onkernel.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kernel. Kernel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Kernel account.
