What Kit (BYOK) is for

Kit (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kit data through the Kit API with a key you supply (v4 API key). Read-only: 8 tools (get_account, list_subscribers, list_tags, list_tag_subscribers, list_sequences, list_broadcasts, list_forms, list_custom_fields). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.kit.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kit. Kit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Kit account is my key connected to and what plan is it on?"
  • "Show my newest active Kit subscribers"
  • "What tags do I use in Kit and how many subscribers have each?"
  • "Who has Kit tag 5?"
  • "How are my Kit email sequences doing?"
  • "What Kit broadcasts did I send recently?"

What it does

  • get_account: Show the Kit account the key belongs to: account name, plan, subscriber limit, trial and renewal dates, time zone and login email.
  • list_subscribers: List subscribers with name, email, state and signup date, newest or oldest first. Filter by state, signup or update dates, or an exact email address; page with a cursor.
  • list_tags: List tags with their IDs and creation dates, optionally with the count of active subscribers per tag.
  • list_tag_subscribers: List the subscribers carrying one tag with name, email, state and signup and tagging dates.
  • list_sequences: List email sequences with name, active flag, email count and subscriber count, optionally with open, click and unsubscribe statistics.
  • list_broadcasts: List email broadcasts with subject, status, public flag, send and publish dates and public URL (the body is left out). Filter by status or send date. Only reads; never sends.
  • list_forms: List forms and landing pages with name, type, archived flag and creation date, optionally with subscriber counts.
  • list_custom_fields: List custom subscriber fields with their ID, name, key and label.

BYOK key

You bring your own Kit v4 API key (https://developers.kit.com/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.kit.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Kit API (api.kit.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.kit.com/api-reference/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kit. Kit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Kit account.
