What Klipfolio (BYOK) is for

Klipfolio (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Klipfolio data through the Klipfolio API with a key you supply (Klipfolio API key). Read-only: 10 tools (get_profile, list_klips, get_klip, list_dashboards, get_dashboard, list_data_sources, get_data_source, list_clients, list_groups, list_roles). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.klipfolio.com. What it does

  • get_profile: Show the Klipfolio user the key belongs to: name, email, company, last login and lock state.
  • list_klips: List the Klips (dashboard widgets) the key can see, with id, name and description. Optionally only those fed by one data source.
  • get_klip: Get one Klip: name, description, owner company, creator and creation and update times.
  • list_dashboards: List the dashboards (called tabs in the API) the key can see. Answer is returned as Klipfolio sends it, up to a size cap.
  • get_dashboard: Get one dashboard: name, description, creator, last update and the ids of its Klip instances.
  • list_data_sources: List data sources with id, name, description, refresh interval, last refresh time and whether they are dynamic.
  • get_data_source: Get one data source: connector, format, refresh interval, last refresh, creator and disabled flag. Connection properties are not requested.
  • list_clients: List client accounts of the company with name, status, seats and last sign-in. Only for accounts with client management.
  • list_groups: List user groups with id, name and description.
  • list_roles: List roles with id, name and description.

BYOK key

You bring your own Klipfolio Klipfolio API key (https://app.klipfolio.com/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.klipfolio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
