What Kong Konnect Dev Portal (BYOK) is for

Kong Konnect Dev Portal (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kong Konnect Dev Portal data through the Kong Konnect Dev Portal API with a key you supply (Konnect personal or system account access token). Read-only: 10 tools (list_portals, get_portal, get_portal_custom_domain, get_portal_authentication_settings, list_portal_pages, list_portal_snippets, list_portal_applications, list_application_registrations, list_portal_teams, list_email_domains). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to us.api.konghq.com, eu.api.konghq.com, au.api.konghq.com, me.api.konghq.com, in.api.konghq.com, sg.api.konghq.com. What it does

  • list_portals: List the developer portals of the Konnect organization with domains, authentication and approval settings.
  • get_portal: Get one developer portal's settings: domains, visibility defaults, approval and authentication flags.
  • get_portal_custom_domain: Get the custom domain of a portal with its TLS verification status and expiry.
  • get_portal_authentication_settings: Get how developers sign in to a portal: basic, OIDC or SAML flags and the OIDC issuer and scopes.
  • list_portal_pages: List the content pages of a portal with slug, title, visibility and publish status (page bodies are not returned).
  • list_portal_snippets: List the reusable content snippets of a portal with name, title, visibility and status.
  • list_portal_applications: List applications registered in a portal with their authentication strategy, owner and registration count.
  • list_application_registrations: List application registrations (an application's request for access to an API) of a portal with status, API and application names.
  • list_portal_teams: List the developer teams of a portal with description and whether the team can own applications.
  • list_email_domains: List the sending email domains configured for portals with their verification state.

BYOK key

You bring your own Kong Konnect Dev Portal Konnect personal or system account access token (https://cloud.konghq.com/global/account/tokens/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to us.api.konghq.com, eu.api.konghq.com, au.api.konghq.com, me.api.konghq.com, in.api.konghq.com, sg.api.konghq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
