What Kustomer Help Center (BYOK) is for

Kustomer Help Center (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kustomer Help Center data through the Kustomer Help Center API with a key you supply (Kustomer API key (Settings > Security > API Keys)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_articles, get_article, search_articles, list_categories, get_category, list_internal_categories, get_knowledge_base, list_routes, list_forms). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.kustomerapp.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kustomer Help Center. Kustomer Help Center and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which articles are in our Kustomer knowledge base?"
  • "When was Kustomer article 60254e3ec413ae00571e3c96 published?"
  • "Search our Kustomer knowledge base for 'refund'."
  • "What categories does our Kustomer help center have?"
  • "Describe Kustomer help center category 5e15fa56a07888001927f8e5."
  • "What internal knowledge categories does our Kustomer have?"

What it does

  • list_articles: List knowledge base articles with title, status, scope (public or internal), tags, categories and dates. Article bodies are not requested.
  • get_article: Get one knowledge base article by id: title, status, scope, tags, categories, metadata and dates (no body).
  • search_articles: Search knowledge base articles by term, optionally limited to public or internal scope and one language. Returns title, slug, status and dates (bodies are left out).
  • list_categories: List public knowledge base categories with per-language titles and slugs, published flag and root flag.
  • get_category: Get one public knowledge base category by id.
  • list_internal_categories: List internal (agent-only) knowledge base categories with per-language titles and slugs.
  • get_knowledge_base: Get one knowledge base by id: name, subdomain, base address, default language, enabled languages and search-indexing flag.
  • list_routes: List help center URL routes (path, what they point to) so an address can be traced to an article or category, optionally filtered by URL.
  • list_forms: List help center contact forms with name, slug, published flag, target object type and channel (layout details are not requested).

BYOK key

You bring your own Kustomer Help Center Kustomer API key (Settings > Security > API Keys) (https://help.kustomer.com/api-keys-SJs5YTIWX). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.kustomerapp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Kustomer Help Center API (api.kustomerapp.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.kustomer.com/kustomer-api-docs/reference/getarticles. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kustomer Help Center. Kustomer Help Center and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Kustomer Help Center account.
