What Lambda (BYOK) is for

Lambda (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Lambda data through the Lambda API with a key you supply (Cloud API key). Read-only: 7 tools (list_instances, get_instance, list_instance_types, list_regions, list_images, list_filesystems, list_firewall_rulesets). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to cloud.lambda.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Lambda. Lambda and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Lambda GPU instances do I have running and what do they cost per hour?"
  • "What is the status and IP of my Lambda instance 0920582c7ff041399e34823a0be62549?"
  • "Which Lambda GPU types have capacity right now and how much do they cost?"
  • "What regions does Lambda cloud offer?"
  • "Which operating system images can I launch on Lambda?"
  • "How much space are my Lambda filesystems using?"

What it does

  • list_instances: List your running Lambda instances with status, IP address, region, GPU type, hourly price in cents and attached filesystems. Jupyter tokens are not returned.
  • get_instance: Get one Lambda instance by id: status, IP, region, GPU type, price, specs, image family and filesystems.
  • list_instance_types: List Lambda instance types with GPU description, hourly price in cents, specs and the regions where capacity is currently available. Returned as an object keyed by type name.
  • list_regions: List Lambda cloud regions with name and description.
  • list_images: List base images available for new Lambda instances with name, family, version, architecture and region.
  • list_filesystems: List your Lambda persistent filesystems with region, mount point, bytes used and whether they are attached to an instance.
  • list_firewall_rulesets: List your Lambda firewall rulesets with region, creation time and the instances they apply to (rule details are not returned).

BYOK key

You bring your own Lambda Cloud API key (https://cloud.lambda.ai/api-keys/cloud-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to cloud.lambda.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Lambda API (cloud.lambda.ai) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.lambda.ai/api/cloud. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Lambda. Lambda and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Lambda account.
