What Laminar (BYOK) is for

Laminar (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Laminar data through the Laminar API with a key you supply (Laminar project API key). Read-only: 8 tools (get_project, list_datasets, get_dataset, list_dataset_datapoints, list_signals, get_signal, list_llm_profiles, run_sql_query). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.lmnr.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Laminar. Laminar and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Laminar project is this key for?"
  • "Which datasets do I have in Laminar?"
  • "Tell me about Laminar dataset X"
  • "Show the first rows of my Laminar dataset"
  • "Which signals are configured in my Laminar project?"
  • "Show the definition of Laminar signal X"

What it does

  • get_project: Show the id of the Laminar project that the API key belongs to.
  • list_datasets: List the datasets of the project with id, name and creation time; optionally filter by id or exact name.
  • get_dataset: Get one dataset by id: name, project and creation time.
  • list_dataset_datapoints: List the datapoints of a dataset (data, target and metadata) one page at a time, given the dataset id or name.
  • list_signals: List the Signals (LLM-evaluated checks run on traces) with name, prompt, mode, sample rate and whether they are disabled.
  • get_signal: Get one Signal: prompt, filters, mode, model, sample rate and version.
  • list_llm_profiles: List the LLM profiles of the workspace with name, provider and models. Keys and secrets are not requested.
  • run_sql_query: Run one read-only SELECT over the project's Laminar tables (spans, traces, signal_events, evaluation_datapoints, dataset_datapoints, logs and others) and return the rows. Filter spans by start_time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Laminar Laminar project API key (https://laminar.sh). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.lmnr.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Laminar API (api.lmnr.ai) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://laminar.sh/docs/api-reference/sql/query-project-data. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Laminar. Laminar and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Laminar account.
