What Last.fm (BYOK) is for
Last.fm (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Last.fm data through the Last.fm API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 10 tools (get_recent_tracks, get_top_artists, get_top_tracks, get_top_albums, get_loved_tracks, get_user_info, get_artist_info, search_artists, get_chart_top_tracks, get_chart_top_artists). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to ws.audioscrobbler.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Last.fm. Last.fm and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What has the Last.fm user rj listened to recently?"
- "Who are the top artists of Last.fm user rj this year?"
- "What are the top tracks of Last.fm user rj in the last month?"
- "What are the top albums of Last.fm user rj over the last 12 months?"
- "Which tracks has Last.fm user rj loved?"
- "When did Last.fm user rj join and how many tracks have they played?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Last.fm API key (https://www.last.fm/api/account/create). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to ws.audioscrobbler.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
