What LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications (BYOK) is for

LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications data through the LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications API with a key you supply (LaunchDarkly API access token (a Reader role token is enough; commercial site, not EU or federal)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_teams, get_team, list_team_roles, list_custom_roles, get_custom_role, list_applications, get_application, list_application_versions, list_relay_proxy_configs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.launchdarkly.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications. LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which teams exist in our LaunchDarkly account?"
  • "Show the LaunchDarkly team platform"
  • "Which custom roles does the platform team have in LaunchDarkly?"
  • "Which custom roles are defined in LaunchDarkly?"
  • "What can the reader-plus LaunchDarkly role do?"
  • "Which applications use our LaunchDarkly flags?"

What it does

  • list_teams: List the account's teams with key, name, description and creation and modification times (Unix milliseconds). Members are not listed.
  • get_team: Get one team with its description, identity-provider sync flag and modification time. Member names are not returned.
  • list_team_roles: List the custom roles assigned to a team with the projects each applies to.
  • list_custom_roles: List custom roles (including LaunchDarkly presets) with description, base permissions, resource category and the policy statements. Base roles are not included.
  • get_custom_role: Get one custom role with its description, base permissions and policy statements.
  • list_applications: List the applications seen by LaunchDarkly (from SDK metadata) with key, name, kind (browser, mobile or server), auto-added flag and creation time. Maintainers are not returned.
  • get_application: Get one application with its kind, description, auto-added flag and creation time.
  • list_application_versions: List the versions of one application with name, supported flag, auto-added flag and creation time.
  • list_relay_proxy_configs: List the Relay Proxy configurations (automatic configuration profiles) with id, name, policy statements and creation and modification times. The keys are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications LaunchDarkly API access token (a Reader role token is enough; commercial site, not EU or federal) (https://app.launchdarkly.com/settings/authorization). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.launchdarkly.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the LaunchDarkly Teams and Applications API (app.launchdarkly.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://launchdarkly.com/docs/api/teams. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not
