What LaunchDarkly Code References (BYOK) is for

LaunchDarkly Code References (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own LaunchDarkly Code References data through the LaunchDarkly Code References API with a key you supply (LaunchDarkly API access token (a Reader role token is enough; commercial site, not EU or federal)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_repositories, get_repository, list_branches, get_branch, get_project_reference_statistics, list_reference_projects, list_extinctions). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.launchdarkly.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LaunchDarkly Code References. LaunchDarkly Code References and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which code repositories report LaunchDarkly flag references?"
  • "Show the LaunchDarkly code reference settings of the web-app repository"
  • "Which branches of web-app have been scanned for LaunchDarkly flags?"
  • "When was the main branch of web-app last scanned for LaunchDarkly flags?"
  • "How many code references does each flag in the default LaunchDarkly project have?"
  • "Which LaunchDarkly projects have code reference statistics?"

What it does

  • list_repositories: List the repositories that send code references to LaunchDarkly with host type, default branch and enabled state. Optionally limit to repositories that reference a project's or one flag's key.
  • get_repository: Get one code reference repository with its source link, host type, default branch, enabled state and links to its branches.
  • list_branches: List the branches of a code reference repository with head commit and last sync time (Unix milliseconds). The file-level references are left out.
  • get_branch: Get one branch of a code reference repository with head commit and last sync time.
  • get_project_reference_statistics: Show, for one project, each flag key mapped to the repositories where it appears, with file and hunk counts and latest commit time per repository.
  • list_reference_projects: List the projects that have code reference statistics, with links to their statistics.
  • list_extinctions: List flags that were removed from code (extinctions) with the repository, branch and time they disappeared, optionally filtered by project, flag, repository or branch.

BYOK key

You bring your own LaunchDarkly Code References LaunchDarkly API access token (a Reader role token is enough; commercial site, not EU or federal) (https://app.launchdarkly.com/settings/authorization). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.launchdarkly.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the LaunchDarkly Code References API (app.launchdarkly.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://launchdarkly.com/docs/api/code-references. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LaunchDarkly Code References. LaunchDarkly Code References and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your LaunchDarkly Code References account.
