What Launch Library 2 (BYOK) is for
Launch Library 2 (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Launch Library 2 data through the Launch Library 2 API with a key you supply (Launch Library 2 API key). Read-only: 11 tools (list_upcoming_launches, list_previous_launches, get_launch, list_agencies, list_astronauts, list_upcoming_events, list_space_stations, list_expeditions, list_launch_pads, list_launcher_configurations, get_api_throttle). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to ll.thespacedevs.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Launch Library 2. Launch Library 2 and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What rocket launches are coming up in the next two weeks?"
- "Which SpaceX launches happened this year?"
- "Show details of launch 7530ff92-eab0-4c8b-8a8b-f3ac2a3bd5a1"
- "Which agencies are active in launching rockets, starting with NASA?"
- "Which astronauts are in space right now?"
- "What spacewalks or dockings are scheduled soon?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Launch Library 2 Launch Library 2 API key (https://thespacedevs.com/llapi). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to ll.thespacedevs.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
