What LearnUpon (BYOK) is for

LearnUpon (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own LearnUpon data through the LearnUpon API with a key you supply (LearnUpon API username). Read-only: 6 tools (list_groups, list_learning_paths, list_badges, list_locations, list_certifications, list_portals). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.learnupon.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What groups exist in my LearnUpon portal?"
  • "Which learning paths does my LearnUpon portal offer?"
  • "Which badges can learners earn in LearnUpon?"
  • "Which in-person training locations are set up in LearnUpon?"
  • "Which certificates are available in my LearnUpon portal?"
  • "Which sub-portals does my LearnUpon account have?"

What it does

  • list_groups: List the groups on the portal (for example Sales or Dublin) with title, description, dates and member count; member names are not returned. Optionally search by title.
  • list_learning_paths: List learning paths (curricula of courses) with name, price, status, difficulty and length. Draft paths are excluded unless include_draft is true.
  • list_badges: List the gamification badges available on the portal with name, points, type and image address.
  • list_locations: List the physical locations defined for in-person Live Learning sessions, with address, time zone and country.
  • list_certifications: List the certificates the portal can award for completed courses and learning paths (guid and title).
  • list_portals: List the portal and its sub-portals with subdomain, member count and licence counts. Optionally search by title.

BYOK key

You bring your own LearnUpon LearnUpon API username (https://docs.learnupon.com/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.learnupon.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
