What Legalesign (BYOK) is for

Legalesign (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Legalesign data through the Legalesign API with a key you supply (Legalesign API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_groups, get_group, list_documents, get_document, list_document_statuses, get_signer, list_text_templates, list_pdf_templates, get_pdf_template, list_members). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to eu-api.legalesign.com. What it does

  • list_groups: List the Legalesign groups (teams) the key can use, with name, slug and active flag.
  • get_group: Get one Legalesign group by slug: name, default email, members and active flag.
  • list_documents: List signing documents of a group with name, status (10 initial, 20 fields completed, 30 signed, 40 removed, 50 rejected), signers and dates.
  • get_document: Get one Legalesign signing document: name, status, signers with their status, group and dates.
  • list_document_statuses: List lightweight status records of signing documents (status code, archived flag, tags); faster than full documents.
  • get_signer: Get one signer of a Legalesign document: name, email, signing order and status.
  • list_text_templates: List a group's text templates (reusable documents) with title, signer count and dates.
  • list_pdf_templates: List a group's PDF templates with title, page count, signer count and whether the template is valid.
  • get_pdf_template: Get one Legalesign PDF template by id: title, pages, signers and validity.
  • list_members: List members of Legalesign groups (user, group and permission level 1 to 6); can be limited to one group.

BYOK key

You bring your own Legalesign Legalesign API key (https://developer.legalesign.com). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to eu-api.legalesign.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
