What Level (BYOK) is for

Level (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Level data through the Level API with a key you supply (Level API key (create a read-only key in Level security settings)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_devices, get_device, list_groups, get_group, list_tags, list_alerts, get_alert, list_updates, get_update, list_automations, list_activities). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.level.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Level. Level and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which devices are offline in Level?"
  • "Show the details of Level device Z2lk."
  • "How are my Level devices grouped?"
  • "Show Level group Z2lk."
  • "Which tags do I use in Level?"
  • "Which Level alerts are active right now?"

What it does

  • list_devices: List managed devices with hostname, role, platform, group, tags, online state, hardware model, last seen time and security score. Filter by group, tag, hostname or serial number.
  • get_device: Get one device in detail: identity, hardware, online state and, on request, operating system, CPUs, memory, disks, network interfaces, motherboard and security details.
  • list_groups: List device groups with parent, child ids, name and device counts. Pass a parent id to see only its subgroups.
  • get_group: Get one device group with its parent, children and device counts.
  • list_tags: List device tags with the number of devices carrying each; filter to the tags of one device.
  • list_alerts: List monitoring alerts with device, name, message, severity (information to emergency), resolved state and times. Filter by device or by active or resolved.
  • get_alert: Get one alert with device, message, severity and times.
  • list_updates: List operating system and software patch updates with device, name, category, version, size, KB ids, availability and install time. Filter by device, available or installed, or category.
  • get_update: Get one patch update with device, version, size, KB ids and install state.
  • list_automations: List the active (non-archived) automations with id, name and the group they belong to.
  • list_activities: List the activity log (who or what did what, to which target, and when), filtered by category, source type, a related id or a date range.

BYOK key

You bring your own Level Level API key (create a read-only key in Level security settings) (https://app.level.io/security). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.level.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Level API (api.level.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.level.io/reference/getting-started-with-your-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Level. Level and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Level account.
