What Lever (BYOK) is for

Lever (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Lever data through the Lever API with a key you supply (Lever API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_opportunities, get_opportunity, list_postings, list_requisitions, list_stages, list_users, list_archive_reasons, list_sources, list_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.lever.co. Lever and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

What it does

  • list_opportunities: List Lever opportunities (candidates in the hiring pipeline) with contact details, stage id, owner, tags, source and dates. Timestamps are milliseconds since 1970. Contains personal data.
  • get_opportunity: Get one Lever opportunity by id with contact details, stage, owner, tags, sources and dates. Contains personal data.
  • list_postings: List Lever job postings with title, state, team, department, location, commitment, level, owner and public URLs. Filter by state or team.
  • list_requisitions: List Lever requisitions with code, name, status, headcount, location, department and team.
  • list_stages: List the pipeline stages of the Lever account (id and name).
  • list_users: List the Lever users with name, email, access role, job title and deactivation time. Only active users unless includeDeactivated is true.
  • list_archive_reasons: List Lever archive reasons with text, status and whether they mean hired or non-hired.
  • list_sources: List the candidate sources used in Lever with how many candidates carry each.
  • list_tags: List the tags used in Lever with how many candidates carry each.

BYOK key

You bring your own Lever Lever API key (https://hire.lever.co/developer/documentation#authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.lever.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
