What Linear Workflow (BYOK) is for

Linear Workflow (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Linear Workflow data through the Linear Workflow API with a key you supply (personal API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_workflow_states, list_issue_relations, list_custom_views, list_customers, list_customer_statuses, list_releases, list_release_pipelines, list_issue_priority_values, get_rate_limit_status). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.linear.app. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Linear Workflow. Linear Workflow and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What workflow states does each Linear team have?"
  • "Which Linear issues block other issues?"
  • "Which saved views exist in Linear?"
  • "Which customers are tracked in Linear?"
  • "Which customer statuses does Linear define?"
  • "What Linear releases are planned or shipped?"

What it does

  • list_workflow_states: List Linear workflow states (Backlog, Todo, In Progress, Done ...) with type, color, position and team. One page per call.
  • list_issue_relations: List links between Linear issues (blocks, duplicate, related) with type and both issue identifiers. One page per call.
  • list_custom_views: List saved Linear custom views with name, model (Issue, Project, Initiative), whether shared, owner and team. One page per call.
  • list_customers: List Linear customers (Customer Requests feature) with name, domains, status, tier, approximate need count and owner. One page per call.
  • list_customer_statuses: List the customer statuses defined in the workspace with name, color and position. One page per call.
  • list_releases: List Linear releases with name, version, stage, pipeline, target date, issue count and completion time. One page per call.
  • list_release_pipelines: List Linear release pipelines with name, type, whether it is production, release count and URL. One page per call.
  • list_issue_priority_values: List the Linear priority numbers and their labels (0 No priority, 1 Urgent, 2 High, 3 Medium, 4 Low).
  • get_rate_limit_status: Show the API key's current Linear rate limits: which limit applies and how much allowance remains.

BYOK key

You bring your own Linear Workflow personal API key (https://linear.app/settings/account/security). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.linear.app over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Linear Workflow API (api.linear.app) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://linear.app/developers/graphql. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Linear Workflow. Linear Workflow and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Linear Workflow account.
