What Live Coin Watch (BYOK) is for

Live Coin Watch (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Live Coin Watch data through the Live Coin Watch API with a key you supply (Live Coin Watch API key). Read-only: 10 tools (get_credits, get_market_overview, get_market_overview_history, get_coin, get_coin_by_contract, get_coin_history, list_coins, get_exchange, list_exchanges, list_fiat_currencies). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.livecoinwatch.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many Live Coin Watch API credits do I have left today?"
  • "What is the total crypto market cap and Bitcoin dominance right now?"
  • "How did total crypto market cap move over the last day?"
  • "What is the current price of ETH in EUR?"
  • "What is the price of the token at this Ethereum contract address?"
  • "Show Bitcoin's price history for the last 24 hours"

What it does

  • get_credits: Show how many API credits remain today and the daily limit (each request costs one credit from a free daily allowance).
  • get_market_overview: Get the current crypto market totals: total market cap, 24-hour volume, liquidity and Bitcoin dominance in a chosen currency.
  • get_market_overview_history: Get historical crypto market totals (market cap, volume, liquidity, Bitcoin dominance) between two timestamps.
  • get_coin: Get the current price, market cap, volume, supply, rank and price change factors of one coin by code. Change values are factors: 1.02 means plus 2 percent.
  • get_coin_by_contract: Get the current price and market data of a token by its platform code and contract address.
  • get_coin_history: Get the price, volume and market cap history of one coin between two timestamps.
  • list_coins: List coins ranked by market data (rank, price, volume, age, name or code) with price, volume, market cap and change factors.
  • get_exchange: Get one exchange's market count, 24-hour volume, order book depth, daily visitors and whether it is centralized.
  • list_exchanges: List exchanges ranked by volume, liquidity, name or code with market counts, volume and depth.
  • list_fiat_currencies: List the fiat currencies supported as pricing currencies, with ISO code, name, symbol and countries.

BYOK key

You bring your own Live Coin Watch Live Coin Watch API key (https://www.livecoinwatch.com/tools/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.livecoinwatch.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
