What Livepeer (BYOK) is for

Livepeer (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Livepeer data through the Livepeer API with a key you supply (Livepeer Studio API key). Read-only: 11 tools (list_streams, get_stream, list_stream_sessions, list_sessions, list_assets, get_asset, list_tasks, get_playback_info, get_total_views, query_viewership, query_usage). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to livepeer.studio. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Livepeer. Livepeer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which of my Livepeer streams are live right now?"
  • "Is my Livepeer stream healthy and how much data has it ingested?"
  • "What recorded sessions did my Livepeer stream have?"
  • "Which Livepeer stream sessions had problems recently?"
  • "Which videos have I uploaded to Livepeer and are they ready?"
  • "What is the status of my Livepeer asset?"

What it does

  • list_streams: List the live streams of the account with name, active and health flags, recording flag, last seen time, playback ID and segment and byte counters. Stream keys are not returned.
  • get_stream: Get one live stream's status, health issues, recording flag, playback ID and ingest and delivery counters. The stream key is not returned.
  • list_stream_sessions: List the sessions (each go-live period) of one stream, optionally only those with a recording, with duration and byte counters.
  • list_sessions: List all stream sessions of the account with parent stream, times, recording status, health and byte counters.
  • list_assets: List the video and audio assets with name, type, playback ID and URL, size, processing status, duration and bitrate.
  • get_asset: Get one asset's processing phase and progress, size, format, duration, bitrate and playback URL.
  • list_tasks: List asynchronous tasks (upload, export, transcode, clip) with type, input and output asset, phase, progress and error message.
  • get_playback_info: Get playback information for a playback ID: whether it is live, video on demand or a recording, and the available sources (HLS, MP4, WebRTC) with sizes and bitrates.
  • get_total_views: Get the all-time public view count and total watch time in minutes for one playback ID.
  • query_viewership: Query aggregated viewership metrics (views, watch minutes, time to first frame, rebuffer ratio, error rate) over a time range, bucketed by hour to year. No viewer-level data is returned.
  • query_usage: Query account usage in minutes (delivery, transcoding total and storage) over a time range, bucketed by hour or day.

BYOK key

You bring your own Livepeer Livepeer Studio API key (https://livepeer.studio/dashboard/developers/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to livepeer.studio over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Livepeer API (livepeer.studio) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.livepeer.org/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Livepeer. Livepeer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Livepeer account.
