What LocationIQ (BYOK) is for
LocationIQ (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own LocationIQ data through the LocationIQ API with a key you supply (access token). Read-only: 6 tools (search_place, search_structured, reverse_geocode, autocomplete_place, get_timezone, get_route_summary). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to us1.locationiq.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LocationIQ. LocationIQ and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What are the coordinates of the White House in Washington?"
- "Find the coordinates of 221B Baker Street, London"
- "What address is at latitude 51.5233879, longitude -0.1582367?"
- "Suggest places that start with 'Empire State'"
- "What time zone is latitude 18.52, longitude 73.86 in?"
- "How far is it to drive from Paris to Lyon?"
What it does
search_place: Turn a free-form address or place name into coordinates: up to 50 matches with display name, latitude, longitude, class, type, importance, bounding box and address parts.search_structured: Geocode an address given as separate parts (street, city, county, state, country, postal code) for more exact matches than free text; returns up to 50 matches.reverse_geocode: Find the address or place at a latitude and longitude: display name and address parts, at a chosen level of detail from country to building.autocomplete_place: Suggest places and addresses while a user types: up to 20 matches with display name, display place, display address, coordinates and address parts.get_timezone: Get the time zone at a latitude and longitude: IANA name, short and full name, UTC offset in seconds and whether daylight saving applies, optionally at a given time.get_route_summary: Get the driving or walking route between two points: distance in metres and duration in seconds (no turn-by-turn steps or map geometry).
BYOK key
You bring your own LocationIQ access token (https://my.locationiq.com/dashboard/#accesstoken). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to us1.locationiq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LocationIQ. LocationIQ and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
