What Loop Returns (BYOK) is for
Loop Returns (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Loop Returns data through the Loop Returns API with a key you supply (Loop API key (with the scopes you need)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_returns, get_return, get_return_notes, list_shipping_notices, list_destinations, get_destination, list_happy_returns_shipments, get_happy_returns_shipment, list_happy_returns_shipment_items). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.loopreturns.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Loop Returns. Loop Returns and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which returns did customers open on Loop in the last week?"
- "Show the Loop return for order 2222."
- "What notes are on Loop return 37603922?"
- "Which return packages are on their way to my warehouse?"
- "Where can returns be sent for my Loop account?"
- "Show Loop destination 12345."
What it does

Needs the Returns scope.get_return: Get one return by Loop return id, order id or order name: state, outcome, totals, carrier, tracking and status page. Give exactly one of the three.get_return_notes: List the notes attached to a return: note id, text and creation time.list_shipping_notices: List return packages (advance shipping notice rows) in a date range with item, carrier, tracking, state and destination warehouse. Customer email is left out. Defaults to the last week.list_destinations: List return destinations (warehouses and donation partners) with name, type, enabled flag and address. Needs the Destinations (Read) scope.get_destination: Get one return destination by id with its type, enabled flag and address.list_happy_returns_shipments: List Happy Returns shipments created in a time window (200 per page) with shipment ids, item and return counts. Needs the Happy Returns Shipments (Read) scope.get_happy_returns_shipment: Get one Happy Returns shipment by its Happy Returns shipment id.list_happy_returns_shipment_items: List the items in a Happy Returns shipment (by the Loop shipment id) with order, SKU, carrier and tracking.
BYOK key
You bring your own Loop Returns Loop API key (with the scopes you need) (https://admin.loopreturns.com/settings/developers). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.loopreturns.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
