What Losant Commands (BYOK) is for

Losant Commands (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Losant Commands data through the Losant Commands API with a key you supply (Losant API access token or application API token (with the device.sendCommand scope to send commands)). Read-only: 5 tools (list_applications, list_devices, get_device, get_device_state, get_recent_commands). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.losant.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Losant Commands. Losant Commands and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Losant applications do I have?"
  • "Which Losant devices are connected right now?"
  • "Show the details of Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6"
  • "What is the latest temperature reported by Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6?"
  • "Which commands were last sent to Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6?"

What it does

  • list_applications: List the Losant applications the token can see with name, description, owner and last update.
  • list_devices: List the devices of an application with name, class, tags, attributes, connection info and last update. Filter by name or class.
  • get_device: Get one device with its attributes, tags, class, connection info and parent.
  • get_device_state: Get the most recent reported states of a device (time and attribute values), newest first. Use start, end or duration for a time range.
  • get_recent_commands: List the last commands sent to a device (time, name and payload), newest first by default.

BYOK key

You bring your own Losant Commands Losant API access token or application API token (with the device.sendCommand scope to send commands) (https://app.losant.com). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.losant.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Losant Commands API (api.losant.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.losant.com/rest-api/device/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Losant Commands. Losant Commands and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Losant Commands account.
