What Losant (BYOK) is for

Losant (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Losant data through the Losant API with a key you supply (Losant API access token or application API token). Read-only: 12 tools (list_applications, get_application, list_devices, get_device, get_device_state, get_device_composite_state, get_device_logs, list_events, list_flows, list_data_tables, list_data_table_rows, query_time_series). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.losant.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Losant. Losant and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Losant applications do I have?"
  • "Show the details of my Losant application"
  • "Which Losant devices are connected right now?"
  • "Show the details of Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6"
  • "What is the latest temperature reported by Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6?"
  • "What are all the last known readings of Losant device 575ed18f7ae143cd83dc4aa6?"

What it does

  • list_applications: List the Losant applications the token can see with name, description, owner and last update.
  • get_application: Get one Losant application with name, description, owner, endpoint slug and usage summary.
  • list_devices: List the devices of an application with name, class, tags, attributes, connection info and last update. Filter by name or class.
  • get_device: Get one device with its attributes, tags, class, connection info and parent.
  • get_device_state: Get the most recent reported states of a device (time and attribute values), newest first. Use start, end or duration for a time range.
  • get_device_composite_state: Get the last known value of every attribute of a device, combining the most recent reports, with the time each value was reported.
  • get_device_logs: Get recent connection log entries of a device: connect and disconnect times, method, reason, IP address and message counts.
  • list_events: List application events (alerts raised by workflows) with level, state, subject, message and device.
  • list_flows: List the workflows of an application with name, class, enabled flag and last update.
  • list_data_tables: List the data tables of an application with name, description, columns and a size summary.
  • list_data_table_rows: List rows of a data table, optionally sorted by a column and limited to some columns.
  • query_time_series: Query stored device data over time for one attribute of one device, optionally aggregated (mean, min, max, sum, count, first, last, median) into buckets of a resolution in milliseconds.

BYOK key

You bring your own Losant Losant API access token or application API token (https://app.losant.com). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.losant.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Losant API (api.losant.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.losant.com/rest-api/overview/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Losant. Losant and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Losant account.
