What Mailchimp Assets (BYOK) is for

Mailchimp Assets (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Mailchimp Assets data through the Mailchimp Assets API with a key you supply (API key (its suffix after the hyphen is your server prefix)). Read-only: 10 tools (ping_api, list_templates, list_template_folders, list_campaign_folders, list_landing_pages, list_landing_page_reports, list_file_folders, list_sending_domains, list_connected_sites, list_batch_jobs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.api.mailchimp.com. What it does

  • ping_api: Check that the key works and the Mailchimp API is reachable; returns a health status text.
  • list_templates: List email templates: id, name, type (user, base or gallery), category, drag-and-drop flag, folder, creator and dates. Template HTML is not returned.
  • list_template_folders: List the folders that organize email templates, with how many templates each holds.
  • list_campaign_folders: List the folders that organize campaigns, with how many campaigns each holds.
  • list_landing_pages: List landing pages with name, title, status (published, unpublished, draft), audience id, URL and dates.
  • list_landing_page_reports: List landing page performance: visits, unique visits, subscribes, clicks and conversion rate per page.
  • list_file_folders: List File Manager folders (image and document libraries) with file counts and creation dates. File names and contents are not returned.
  • list_sending_domains: List sending domains with verification and authentication status (for example VERIFIED or AUTHENTICATION_ERROR).
  • list_connected_sites: List connected websites with platform, domain, pixel status and dates.
  • list_batch_jobs: List recent batch operation jobs with status, operation totals, errored count and submission and completion times.

BYOK key

You bring your own Mailchimp Assets API key (its suffix after the hyphen is your server prefix) (https://mailchimp.com/help/about-api-keys/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.api.mailchimp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
