What Mailchimp Ecommerce (BYOK) is for

Mailchimp Ecommerce (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Mailchimp Ecommerce data through the Mailchimp Ecommerce API with a key you supply (API key (its suffix after the hyphen is your server prefix)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_stores, get_store, list_products, get_product, list_product_variants, list_promo_rules, get_promo_rule). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.api.mailchimp.com. What it does

  • list_stores: List connected e-commerce stores with platform, domain, linked audience id, sync state, currency, locale and timezone. Store address, phone and email are not returned.
  • get_store: Get one connected store: platform, domain, audience link, sync state, currency and the status of its abandoned cart and abandoned browse automations.
  • list_products: List a store's product catalog: id, title, handle, URL, type, vendor and currency. Variants and descriptions are not included here.
  • get_product: Get one product of a store with title, URL, type, vendor and currency.
  • list_product_variants: List the variants of a product with SKU, price, inventory quantity, visibility and backorder setting.
  • list_promo_rules: List a store's promotion rules: title, validity window, amount, type (fixed or percentage), target and enabled flag. Promo codes are not returned.
  • get_promo_rule: Get one promotion rule of a store.

BYOK key

You bring your own Mailchimp Ecommerce API key (its suffix after the hyphen is your server prefix) (https://mailchimp.com/help/about-api-keys/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.api.mailchimp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
