What Maxim AI (BYOK) is for

Maxim AI (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Maxim AI data through the Maxim AI API with a key you supply (Maxim API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_workspaces, list_prompts, get_prompt_versions, list_datasets, list_dataset_columns, list_dataset_entries, list_evaluators, list_workflows, list_test_runs, list_log_repositories). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.getmaxim.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Maxim AI. Maxim AI and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Maxim workspaces do I have?"
  • "Which prompts are in my Maxim workspace?"
  • "Show the versions of Maxim prompt X"
  • "Which evaluation datasets exist in my Maxim workspace?"
  • "Which columns does Maxim dataset X have?"
  • "Show the first rows of Maxim dataset X"

What it does

  • list_workspaces: List the Maxim workspaces of the account with id, name and times; filter by name or id.
  • list_prompts: List the prompts of a workspace's prompt library; filter by name or folder.
  • get_prompt_versions: Get the versions of one prompt: version number, description and configuration (model, provider, messages, parameters).
  • list_datasets: List the evaluation datasets of a workspace with name, description, columns and number of entries.
  • list_dataset_columns: List the columns of one dataset with name, type and data type.
  • list_dataset_entries: List entries (rows) of one dataset, optionally of one split, a few at a time.
  • list_evaluators: List the evaluators of a workspace (AI, programmatic and human scoring definitions); filter by name.
  • list_workflows: List the workflows (HTTP endpoints or voice agents under test) of a workspace.
  • list_test_runs: List the test runs of a workspace (evaluation runs of prompts or workflows against datasets).
  • list_log_repositories: List the log repositories of a workspace (where production traces are stored).

BYOK key

You bring your own Maxim AI Maxim API key (https://www.getmaxim.ai/docs/settings/maxim-api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.getmaxim.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Maxim AI API (api.getmaxim.ai) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.getmaxim.ai/docs/public-apis/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Maxim AI. Maxim AI and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Maxim AI account.
