What Merge Agent Handler (BYOK) is for
Merge Agent Handler (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Merge Agent Handler data through the Merge Agent Handler API with a key you supply (Agent Handler access key). Read-only: 8 tools (list_connectors, get_connector, list_tool_packs, get_tool_pack, list_tool_pack_connectors, list_connections, get_total_usage, list_usage_by_tool). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to ah-api.merge.dev. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Merge Agent Handler. Merge Agent Handler and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Agent Handler connectors exist for project management?"
- "What tools does the Agent Handler linear connector offer?"
- "Which tool packs have I defined in Agent Handler?"
- "Show Agent Handler tool pack tp_1"
- "Which connectors does Agent Handler tool pack tp_1 include?"
- "Which Agent Handler connections are in error?"
What it does
list_connectors: List or search the Agent Handler connector catalog (third-party tool servers) with categories and each connector's tool names, descriptions and credit type.get_connector: Get one Agent Handler connector by slug with description, categories and its tools (name, description, credit type).list_tool_packs: List your tool packs (bounded sets of connectors and tools handed to an agent) with the connectors and tools enabled in each.get_tool_pack: Get one tool pack by id with its connectors, auth scope and enabled tools.list_tool_pack_connectors: List the connectors attached to one tool pack with auth scope and the tools enabled on each.list_connections: List authenticated connections to third-party tools with connector, auth type and scope, health status (ACTIVE or ERROR) and retirement time; owner names are left out.get_total_usage: Get total credits used and tool-call count for your organization over a time window of up to 31 days.list_usage_by_tool: List credits used and call counts per connector tool over a time window of up to 31 days.
BYOK key
You bring your own Merge Agent Handler Agent Handler access key (https://docs.merge.dev/merge-agent-handler/overview). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to ah-api.merge.dev over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
