What Merge ATS (BYOK) is for

Merge ATS (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Merge ATS data through the Merge ATS API with a key you supply (Merge production access key). Read-only: 12 tools (get_account_details, list_jobs, get_job, list_job_postings, list_candidates, list_applications, list_interviews, list_interview_stages, list_offices, list_departments, list_reject_reasons, list_users). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.merge.dev, api-eu.merge.dev, api-ap.merge.dev. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Merge ATS. Merge ATS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which applicant tracking system is linked to this Merge account token?"
  • "Which jobs are open in our applicant tracking system?"
  • "Show Merge job j1"
  • "Which job postings are published?"
  • "Which candidates did we talk to recently?"
  • "Which applications came in for job j1?"

What it does

  • get_account_details: Show the linked ATS account this token reads: integration name, category, status and when linking completed.
  • list_jobs: List jobs with name, code, status, type, confidential flag, departments, offices, hiring managers and recruiters (ids). Job descriptions are not returned.
  • get_job: Get one job by Merge id with name, code, status, departments, offices, hiring managers and recruiters.
  • list_job_postings: List public and internal job postings with title, status, linked job, internal flag and dates. Posting text is not returned.
  • list_candidates: List candidates with name, current company and title, locations, tags, application ids, privacy flag and last interaction. Email addresses, phone numbers and links are not returned.
  • list_applications: List applications with candidate, job, applied and rejected time, source, current stage and reject reason (ids). Screening answers are not returned.
  • list_interviews: List scheduled and past interviews with application, stage, organizer, interviewers, location, status and times.
  • list_interview_stages: List the pipeline stages (name and order), for all jobs or one job.
  • list_offices: List offices of the company with name and location.
  • list_departments: List departments used for hiring with their names.
  • list_reject_reasons: List the reasons a candidate can be rejected, by name.
  • list_users: List the recruiting team's users with name, email, role and disabled flag.

BYOK key

You bring your own Merge ATS Merge production access key (https://docs.merge.dev/get-started/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.merge.dev, api-eu.merge.dev, api-ap.merge.dev over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Merge ATS API (api.merge.dev, api-eu.merge.dev, api-ap.merge.dev) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.merge.dev/merge-unified/ats/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Merge ATS. Merge ATS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Merge ATS account.
