What Meter (BYOK) is for
Meter (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Meter data through the Meter API with a key you supply (Meter API key). Read-only: 9 tools (get_company, list_networks, get_network, list_devices, get_device, get_hardware_device, list_spare_devices, list_vlans, list_ssids). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.meter.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meter. Meter and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What is the Meter company acme?"
- "Which Meter networks does acme have?"
- "Is the Meter network hq of acme active?"
- "Which Meter devices are online in the hq network?"
- "Is the Meter device Lobby AP online?"
- "Is the Meter hardware MTR-AP-0001 connected?"
What it does
get_company: Get one company by slug with its name, website domain and whether it is a customer.list_networks: List all networks (sites) of a company with label, slug, active state and go-live date.get_network: Get one network by company slug and network slug with active state and key dates.list_devices: List the devices (access points, switches, firewalls, observers) of a network with label, type, model, online state, uptime and hardware serial number.get_device: Get one device by virtual device UUID with type, model, online state, uptime and its hardware serial number.get_hardware_device: Look up a physical Meter device by serial number: model, type, whether it is connected to the Meter backend, since when it is disconnected and the network it belongs to.list_spare_devices: List the spare hardware devices of a network: owned by the network but not assigned to any configured device.list_vlans: List the VLANs of a network with VLAN id, name, enabled and default flags and the client IPv4 prefix length.list_ssids: List the Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs) of a network with name, encryption protocol, enabled, guest and hidden flags and allowed bands. Wi-Fi passwords are not requested.
BYOK key
You bring your own Meter Meter API key (https://docs.meter.com/reference/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.meter.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Notices
Read-only GraphQL queries only: no mutations. Meter allows 1000 requests per minute and a complexity budget of 750 points per API key. Create keys in the Meter dashboard under Settings, Integrations, API keys.
