What Metronome (BYOK) is for

Metronome (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Metronome data through the Metronome API with a key you supply (Metronome API token). Read-only: 7 tools (list_customers, get_customer, list_invoices, get_invoice, list_billable_metrics, list_products, list_customer_contracts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.metronome.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Metronome. Metronome and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which customers are in Metronome?"
  • "Show Metronome customer 13117714."
  • "What invoices does Metronome customer 13117714 have?"
  • "Show Metronome invoice inv_1."
  • "Which billable metrics are defined in Metronome?"
  • "What products are in the Metronome catalog?"

What it does

  • list_customers: List customers with name, external id, ingest aliases, billable status and creation time. Paged by cursor.
  • get_customer: Get one customer by Metronome id: name, external id, ingest aliases, billable status and timestamps.
  • list_invoices: List a customer's invoices with status, type, total, issue date, billing period and contract. Total is in the invoice's credit type (cents for USD).
  • get_invoice: Get one invoice by id with status, type, total, dates and contract.
  • list_billable_metrics: List billable metrics: name, aggregation type and key, grouping keys and the SQL that defines them.
  • list_products: List contract-pricing products: id, type, name, tags, billable metric and archive state. Read-only query despite using POST.
  • list_customer_contracts: List a customer's contracts (v2): name, rate card, start and end, total contract value and creation time. Pages hold up to 20.

BYOK key

You bring your own Metronome Metronome API token (https://docs.metronome.com/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.metronome.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Metronome API (api.metronome.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.metronome.com/api-reference/introduction. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Metronome. Metronome and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Metronome account.
