What Missive (BYOK) is for

Missive (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Missive data through the Missive API with a key you supply (Missive API token (needs an organization on the Productive plan or higher)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_organizations, list_users, list_teams, list_shared_labels, list_conversations, get_conversation, list_conversation_messages, list_conversation_comments, list_tasks, list_contact_books, list_contacts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to public.missiveapp.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Missive. Missive and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Missive organizations am I part of?"
  • "Who are the users in my Missive organization?"
  • "What teams do we have in Missive?"
  • "What shared labels exist in Missive?"
  • "Show the latest conversations in my Missive inbox"
  • "Show Missive conversation 6d3c9b1c-7067-4a28-8ea6-ea91340b67cc"

What it does

  • list_organizations: List the Missive organizations your token's user belongs to (id and name). Use the ids to filter other tools.
  • list_users: List users of your Missive organizations with name and email.
  • list_teams: List teams in your Missive organizations with member ids and inbox settings.
  • list_shared_labels: List shared labels in your Missive organizations (name, full path and organization).
  • list_conversations: List Missive conversations newest first. At least one mailbox filter is required: set inbox, all, assigned, closed, snoozed, flagged, trashed, junked or drafts to true, or pass shared_label, team_inbox, team_closed or team_all. Returns up to 50 per page; page with until. email, domain and contact_organization are mutually exclusive.
  • get_conversation: Get one Missive conversation by id: subject, organization, message and task counts, assignees, labels and last activity.
  • list_conversation_messages: List messages of a Missive conversation, newest first, 10 at most per call (drafts excluded). Gives sender, recipients, subject and a short preview; page with until.
  • list_conversation_comments: List internal comments on a Missive conversation, newest first, 10 at most per call.
  • list_tasks: List Missive tasks you can access, most recently active first, filtered by organization, team, assignee, state or due date. Returns 2 to 50 per call; page with until.
  • list_contact_books: List the Missive contact books you can access (name, owner, sharing).
  • list_contacts: List or search contacts of one Missive contact book (up to 200 per call). Returns names, job and contact details such as emails and phone numbers.

BYOK key

You bring your own Missive Missive API token (needs an organization on the Productive plan or higher) (https://missiveapp.com/docs/developers/rest-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to public.missiveapp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Missive API (public.missiveapp.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://missiveapp.com/docs/developers/rest-api/endpoints. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Missive. Missive and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Missive account.
