What Mixpanel (BYOK) is for

Mixpanel (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Mixpanel data through the Mixpanel API with a key you supply (service account username). Read-only: 6 tools (get_todays_top_events, list_top_event_names, get_event_counts, get_event_top_properties, get_event_property_values, get_insights_report). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to mixpanel.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mixpanel. Mixpanel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What are my top Mixpanel events today?"
  • "Which events does my Mixpanel project track most?"
  • "How many sign-ups and logins did I get per day last week in Mixpanel?"
  • "Which properties does the Signed up event have in Mixpanel?"
  • "What plan values appear on the Signed up event in Mixpanel?"
  • "Show the data of my saved Mixpanel Insights report 12345"

What it does

  • get_todays_top_events: Get today's most frequent events with their counts and the percent change from yesterday. Query API limits: 60 queries per hour, 5 at a time.
  • list_top_event_names: List the most common event names of the last 31 days.
  • get_event_counts: Get total, unique or average counts of one or more events per day, week or month between two dates (or for the last N units).
  • get_event_top_properties: Get the most common property names of one event with how many events carry each.
  • get_event_property_values: Get the most common values of one property of one event.
  • get_insights_report: Get the data of one saved Insights report (series per event over time) by its numeric report (bookmark) ID.

BYOK key

You bring your own Mixpanel service account username (https://docs.mixpanel.com/reference/service-accounts). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to mixpanel.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Mixpanel API (mixpanel.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.mixpanel.com/reference/query-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mixpanel. Mixpanel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Mixpanel account.
