What monday.com (BYOK) is for

monday.com (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own monday.com data through the monday.com API with a key you supply (personal API token). Read-only: 10 tools (get_me, get_account, list_workspaces, list_boards, get_board, list_board_items, get_item, list_item_updates, list_updates_between_dates, list_users). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.monday.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by monday.com. monday.com and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which monday.com user and account is my token connected to?"
  • "How many active members does my monday.com account have?"
  • "What workspaces do I have in monday.com?"
  • "What monday.com boards do I have and how many items are on each?"
  • "What groups does my monday.com board have?"
  • "What items are on my monday.com board and what is their status?"

What it does

  • get_me: Show the monday.com user the token belongs to: name, email, title, admin flag, time zone and account name.
  • get_account: Show the monday.com account: name, slug, country code and number of active members.
  • list_workspaces: List monday.com workspaces with name, kind, state and whether it is the default workspace. Workspace IDs filter list_boards.
  • list_boards: List monday.com boards with name, description, kind, workspace, item count and URL, optionally for one workspace.
  • get_board: Get one monday.com board's name, description, kind, state, item count, URL and its groups (id, title, color).
  • list_board_items: List the active items of a monday.com board with group and column values as text. Returns a cursor for the next page; items_page returns active items only.
  • get_item: Get one monday.com item: name, state, board, group, URL, column values as text and subitems.
  • list_item_updates: List the updates (comments) written on one monday.com item with author, plain-text body and dates.
  • list_updates_between_dates: List monday.com updates across the account created between two dates, newest first, with author, plain-text body and item id.
  • list_users: List monday.com users with name, email, job title and profile URL, optionally filtered by a name search.

BYOK key

You bring your own monday.com personal API token (https://developer.monday.com/api-reference/docs/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.monday.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the monday.com API (api.monday.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.monday.com/api-reference/docs/introduction-to-graphql. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by monday.com. monday.com and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your monday.com account.
