What Naver Datalab (BYOK) is for

Naver Datalab (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Naver Datalab data through the Naver Datalab API with a key you supply (client ID). Read-only: 9 tools (get_search_trend, get_shopping_category_trend, get_category_device_split, get_category_gender_split, get_category_age_split, get_shopping_keyword_trend, get_keyword_device_split, get_keyword_gender_split, get_keyword_age_split). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to openapi.naver.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Naver Datalab. Naver Datalab and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How did searches for 'AI' and 'artificial intelligence' trend on Naver in the first half of 2026?"
  • "How did clicks in the fashion clothing category on Naver Shopping move in 2026?"
  • "Is fashion clothing browsed more on mobile or PC on Naver Shopping?"
  • "Do women or men click fashion clothing more on Naver Shopping?"
  • "Which age group clicks fashion clothing most on Naver Shopping?"
  • "How did the keyword 정장 trend inside fashion clothing on Naver Shopping?"

BYOK key

You bring your own Naver Datalab client ID (https://developers.naver.com/apps/#/register). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to openapi.naver.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Naver Datalab API (openapi.naver.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.naver.com/docs/serviceapi/datalab/search/search.md. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not
