What Netlify Database (BYOK) is for
Netlify Database (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Netlify Database data through the Netlify Database API with a key you supply (personal access token). Read-only: 5 tools (list_database_branches, get_database_compute_settings, list_migrations, get_migration, list_database_snapshots). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.netlify.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netlify Database. Netlify Database and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which database branches does my Netlify site have?"
- "How does my Netlify database scale?"
- "Which database migrations were applied?"
- "What does migration 001_create_users do?"
- "Which database snapshots exist?"
What it does
list_database_branches: List the database branches of a Netlify site with name, state, logical size, activity times and compute settings. Connection strings are left out.get_database_compute_settings: Get the site database's compute settings: minimum and maximum compute units and the idle sleep timeout.list_migrations: List the database migrations of a Netlify site with version, name, path and whether each was applied.get_migration: Get one database migration of a Netlify site, including its SQL text.list_database_snapshots: List the database snapshots of a Netlify site with source branch, manual flag, creation and expiry times.
BYOK key
You bring your own Netlify Database personal access token (https://app.netlify.com/user/applications#personal-access-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.netlify.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netlify Database. Netlify Database and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
