What Netlify DNS (BYOK) is for
Netlify DNS (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Netlify DNS data through the Netlify DNS API with a key you supply (personal access token). Read-only: 5 tools (list_dns_zones, get_dns_zone, list_dns_records, get_dns_record, get_site_dns). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.netlify.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netlify DNS. Netlify DNS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which domains use Netlify DNS?"
- "What name servers does my Netlify DNS zone use?"
- "What DNS records does my Netlify zone have?"
- "What does DNS record 5f2a1b3c point to?"
- "Which DNS zones belong to my Netlify site?"
What it does
list_dns_zones: List the Netlify DNS zones of the user or a team with domain, name servers, linked site, IPv6 flag and supported record types.get_dns_zone: Get one Netlify DNS zone with its name servers, linked site and records.list_dns_records: List the DNS records of a Netlify DNS zone (hostname, type, value, TTL, priority, managed flag).get_dns_record: Get one DNS record of a Netlify DNS zone.get_site_dns: List the DNS zones attached to one Netlify site.
BYOK key
You bring your own Netlify DNS personal access token (https://app.netlify.com/user/applications#personal-access-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.netlify.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netlify DNS. Netlify DNS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Netlify DNS account.
