What New Relic Dashboards (BYOK) is for
New Relic Dashboards (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own New Relic Dashboards data through the New Relic Dashboards API with a key you supply (New Relic user API key (US data center)). Read-only: 5 tools (search_dashboards, get_dashboard, get_dashboard_variables, search_workloads, get_workload). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.newrelic.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by New Relic Dashboards. New Relic Dashboards and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which New Relic dashboards mention checkout?"
- "What pages and widgets does this New Relic dashboard have?"
- "Which template variables does this New Relic dashboard define?"
- "Which workloads exist in my New Relic account?"
- "What is the status of this New Relic workload?"
What it does
search_dashboards: Search dashboards by name across the accounts the key can read: GUID, name, account id, permissions, parent dashboard and timestamps. Page with the cursor.get_dashboard: Get one dashboard by GUID: name, description, permissions and each page with its widgets (id, title and visualization id). Widget queries are not requested.get_dashboard_variables: Get the template variables of a dashboard: name, title, type, whether several values can be chosen, default values and the query that fills the choices.search_workloads: Search workloads (custom groups of entities) by name: GUID, name, account id, alert severity and timestamps. Page with the cursor.get_workload: Get one workload by GUID: name, timestamps, status (value, source, summary) and tags.
BYOK key
You bring your own New Relic Dashboards New Relic user API key (US data center) (https://one.newrelic.com/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.newrelic.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
