What ngrok (BYOK) is for

ngrok (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ngrok data through the ngrok API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_endpoints, get_endpoint, list_tunnels, list_tunnel_sessions, list_reserved_domains, list_reserved_addrs, list_https_edges, list_ip_policies, list_agent_ingresses, list_api_keys). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.ngrok.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ngrok. ngrok and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which ngrok endpoints are online right now?"
  • "Show details of this ngrok endpoint"
  • "Which ngrok tunnels are running?"
  • "Which ngrok agents are connected and from where?"
  • "Which domains have I reserved in ngrok?"
  • "Which TCP addresses have I reserved in ngrok?"

What it does

  • list_endpoints: List the active ngrok endpoints with public URL, type, region, upstream URL, description and creation time. Newest first, up to 100 per page.
  • get_endpoint: Get one ngrok endpoint by id: public URL, type, region, upstream, traffic policy and the ids of its domain, tunnel and edge.
  • list_tunnels: List the ngrok tunnels that are currently online with public URL, protocol, region and what they forward to.
  • list_tunnel_sessions: List the ngrok agent sessions currently connected: agent version, operating system, region, IP address and start time.
  • list_reserved_domains: List reserved ngrok domains with region, CNAME target, description and creation time.
  • list_reserved_addrs: List reserved ngrok TCP addresses with region, description and creation time.
  • list_https_edges: List ngrok HTTPS edges with their host and ports, description and creation time. Route details are not returned.
  • list_ip_policies: List ngrok IP policies (allow and deny lists) with description and creation time.
  • list_agent_ingresses: List ngrok agent ingresses (custom domains agents connect to) with domain, region domains and creation time.
  • list_api_keys: List the ngrok API keys of the account with id, description, owner and creation time. The key values are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own ngrok API key (https://dashboard.ngrok.com/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.ngrok.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the ngrok API (api.ngrok.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://ngrok.com/docs/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ngrok. ngrok and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your ngrok account.
