What Novu Layouts (BYOK) is for

Novu Layouts (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Novu Layouts data through the Novu Layouts API with a key you supply (secret key (US region)). Read-only: 5 tools (list_layouts, get_layout, get_layout_usage, list_contexts, get_context). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.novu.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Novu Layouts. Novu Layouts and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which email layouts does my Novu environment have?"
  • "Is the Novu layout default-layout the default one?"
  • "Which Novu workflows use the layout default-layout?"
  • "Which Novu contexts exist?"
  • "When was the Novu tenant context acme created?"

What it does

  • list_layouts: List email layouts of the environment with name, slug, origin (novu-cloud or external), default flag and timestamps. The layout design and editor values are not returned.
  • get_layout: Get one layout by its layout ID: name, slug, default flag, origin, type and timestamps (the design and editor values are not returned).
  • get_layout_usage: List the workflows that use a layout, by name and workflow ID.
  • list_contexts: List contexts (shared key/value records attached to triggers, such as a tenant or an app) with type, ID and timestamps. Cursor pagination, optional search.
  • get_context: Get one context by type and ID: timestamps (the stored data object is not returned).

BYOK key

You bring your own Novu Layouts secret key (US region) (https://dashboard.novu.co/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.novu.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
