What Odoo (BYOK) is for
Odoo (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Odoo data through the Odoo API with a key you supply (Odoo API key (Preferences, Account Security, New API Key)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_records, search_records, find_by_name, read_record, count_records, count_matching_records, describe_fields). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.odoo.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Odoo. Odoo and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "List my 20 most recently changed Odoo contacts"
- "Find Odoo contacts whose name contains 'deco'"
- "What is the Odoo ID of the contact called Deco Addict?"
- "Show fields name and email of Odoo contact 25"
- "How many Odoo contacts are there?"
- "How many Odoo sales orders were changed since 2026-01-01?"
What it does
list_records: List records of one model with up to six fields you name (display_name by default), sorted and paged. Needs Odoo 19 and a plan with external API access.search_records: List records of one model that match a single condition (field, operator, value), with up to six fields you name.find_by_name: Find records of one model whose display name matches a text (case-insensitive contains). Returns pairs of [id, display name].read_record: Read one record of a model by its ID with up to six fields you name.count_records: Count all records of one model.count_matching_records: Count the records of one model that match a single condition (field, operator, value).describe_fields: Describe the fields of one model: label, type, related model and selection values. Optionally restrict to named fields.
BYOK key
You bring your own Odoo Odoo API key (Preferences, Account Security, New API Key) (https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/developer/reference/external_api.html#api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.odoo.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources

Live from the Odoo API (*.odoo.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/developer/reference/external_api.html. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Odoo. Odoo and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Odoo account.
