What OpenPanel (BYOK) is for
OpenPanel (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own OpenPanel data through the OpenPanel API with a key you supply (client id of a read or root client (the default write client cannot read)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_metrics, get_live_visitors, get_top_pages, get_referrers, get_countries, get_devices, get_browsers, get_operating_systems, get_utm_sources, get_utm_campaigns). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.openpanel.dev. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenPanel. OpenPanel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "How many visitors did my OpenPanel project get this month?"
- "How many people are on my site right now according to OpenPanel?"
- "Which pages get the most sessions in OpenPanel?"
- "Where does my OpenPanel traffic come from?"
- "Which countries visit my site according to OpenPanel?"
- "How does my OpenPanel traffic split by device?"

BYOK key
You bring your own OpenPanel client id of a read or root client (the default write client cannot read) (https://openpanel.dev/docs/api/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.openpanel.dev over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
