What OpenPhone (BYOK) is for
OpenPhone (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own OpenPhone data through the OpenPhone API with a key you supply (Quo API key (workspace settings > API; owner or admin only)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_phone_numbers, list_users, list_calls, get_call, get_call_summary, get_call_transcript, get_call_voicemail, list_messages, list_conversations, list_contacts, list_tasks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.quo.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenPhone. OpenPhone and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which phone numbers does my OpenPhone workspace have?"
- "Who are the users in my OpenPhone workspace?"
- "What calls did I have with +15555550123 on my OpenPhone number?"
- "Show OpenPhone call ACabc123"
- "Summarise OpenPhone call ACabc123"
- "What was said in OpenPhone call ACabc123?"

Needs the Business or Scale plan; status says whether it is ready.get_call_transcript: Get the transcript of a call as speaker dialogue lines. Needs the Business or Scale plan.get_call_voicemail: Get the voicemail of a call: transcript, duration and processing status.list_messages: List text messages between one workspace number and one other phone number, newest first, with direction, status and text.list_conversations: List conversations of the workspace, most recent first, with participants, assignee and last activity time.list_contacts: List contacts of the workspace with company, role, emails and phone numbers.list_tasks: List tasks with title, description, due date, assignee and completion flag.
BYOK key
You bring your own OpenPhone Quo API key (workspace settings > API; owner or admin only) (https://www.quo.com/docs/mdx/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.quo.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
