What OpsLevel (BYOK) is for

OpsLevel (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own OpsLevel data through the OpsLevel API with a key you supply (OpsLevel API token). Read-only: 12 tools (get_account, list_services, get_service, list_teams, list_systems, list_domains, list_scorecards, list_lifecycles, list_tiers, list_component_types, list_infrastructure_resources, list_deploys). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.opslevel.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpsLevel. OpsLevel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which OpsLevel account is this token for?"
  • "Which Tier 1 services does the payments team own in OpsLevel?"
  • "Show the payments-api service in OpsLevel with its tags and maturity level"
  • "Which teams exist in OpsLevel?"
  • "Which systems are in the OpsLevel catalog?"
  • "Which domains are in the OpsLevel catalog?"

What it does

  • get_account: Get the name of the OpsLevel account the token belongs to (a quick check that the token works).
  • list_services: List catalog services (components) with owner team, lifecycle, tier, language, framework, product and component type. Filter by text, owner, lifecycle, tier, language, framework or product.
  • get_service: Get one service by alias: owner, lifecycle, tier, tags, maturity level, last deploy time and environment, and description. Deploy authors are not returned.
  • list_teams: List teams with alias, link, responsibilities and parent team. Members, managers and contact details are not returned.
  • list_systems: List systems (groups of services) with description, owner and parent domain.
  • list_domains: List domains (top-level business areas that group systems) with description and owner.
  • list_scorecards: List scorecards with how many checks they have, how many pass, the pass percentage and how many services they cover.
  • list_lifecycles: List the lifecycle stages (for example alpha, beta, production) a service can be in.
  • list_tiers: List the service tiers (for example tier 1 to tier 4) with description and order.
  • list_component_types: List the component types (service, library, data pipeline and your own types) with category and description.
  • list_infrastructure_resources: List infrastructure resources (databases, queues, buckets and so on) synced into the catalog with type, owner link and last sync time. Resource data and settings are not returned.
  • list_deploys: List deploys reported to OpsLevel in a time range with service, environment, status, start time, duration, commit and branch. Names and e-mails of deployers and committers are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own OpsLevel OpsLevel API token (https://app.opslevel.com/api_tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.opslevel.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the OpsLevel API (api.opslevel.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.opslevel.com/docs/graphql. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpsLevel. OpsLevel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your OpsLevel account.
