What Paddle Discounts and Adjustments (BYOK) is for

Paddle Discounts and Adjustments (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Paddle Discounts and Adjustments data through the Paddle Discounts and Adjustments API with a key you supply (Paddle Billing API key (live environment; sandbox keys use a different host and do not work here)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_discounts, list_discount_groups, list_checkout_domains, list_adjustments, list_customer_credit_balances, list_subscription_history, list_reports). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.paddle.com.   • "Which Paddle discount codes are active and how often were they used?"
  • "Which Paddle discount groups exist?"
  • "Which domains are approved for my Paddle checkout?"
  • "Which refunds were issued on my Paddle account recently?"
  • "How much credit does Paddle customer ctm_01abc have?"
  • "What changes were made to Paddle subscription sub_01abc?"

What it does

  • list_discounts: List Paddle discounts with code, type (flat, flat per seat, percentage), amount, usage limit, expiry and how often each was used. Amounts are strings in the smallest unit.
  • list_discount_groups: List the groups discounts are organized in, with name and status.
  • list_checkout_domains: List the domains approved to open Paddle checkouts, with verification status.
  • list_adjustments: List adjustments to Paddle transactions (refunds, credits, chargebacks) with action, status, reason, currency and totals. Amounts are strings in the smallest unit.
  • list_customer_credit_balances: List one customer's credit balances per currency (available, reserved and used).
  • list_subscription_history: List the change history of one Paddle subscription: when each change happened, its source, reason and who made it. Timestamps are RFC 3339.
  • list_reports: List reports you requested in Paddle with type, status, and creation and expiry times. Download links are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own Paddle Discounts and Adjustments Paddle Billing API key (live environment; sandbox keys use a different host and do not work here) (https://vendors.paddle.com/authentication-v2). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.paddle.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
