What Page Speed Insights (BYOK) is for

Page Speed Insights (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Page Speed Insights data through the Page Speed Insights API with a key you supply (Google API key (PageSpeed Insights API enabled)). Read-only: 6 tools (get_performance_score, get_accessibility_score, get_seo_score, get_best_practices_score, get_page_field_data, get_origin_field_data). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to www.googleapis.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Page Speed Insights. Page Speed Insights and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How fast does https://example.com/ load on mobile according to PageSpeed Insights?"
  • "What is the accessibility score of https://example.com/?"
  • "What is the Lighthouse SEO score of https://example.com/?"
  • "What is the best-practices score of https://example.com/?"
  • "What do real users experience on https://example.com/ for load and interaction speed?"
  • "How does the whole example.com site perform for real users?"

What it does

  • get_performance_score: Analyze a public page and return its Lighthouse performance score (0 to 1) with the main lab timings: first contentful paint, speed index, largest contentful paint, total blocking time and time to interactive.
  • get_accessibility_score: Analyze a public page and return its Lighthouse accessibility score (0 to 1).
  • get_seo_score: Analyze a public page and return its Lighthouse SEO score (0 to 1).
  • get_best_practices_score: Analyze a public page and return its Lighthouse best-practices score (0 to 1).
  • get_page_field_data: Get real-user (Chrome UX Report) field data for one page: overall rating and the 75th percentile with FAST, AVERAGE or SLOW category for first contentful paint and interaction to next paint. Empty when Google has too little data for the page. Google has announced this field data will be discontinued in this API.
  • get_origin_field_data: Get real-user (Chrome UX Report) field data for the whole origin of a page: overall rating and the 75th percentile with category for first contentful paint and interaction to next paint. Empty when Google has too little data. Google has announced this field data will be discontinued in this API.

BYOK key

You bring your own Page Speed Insights Google API key (PageSpeed Insights API enabled) (https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/v5/get-started#APIKey). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to www.googleapis.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Page Speed Insights API (www.googleapis.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/v5/reference/pagespeedapi/runpagespeed. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Page Speed Insights. Page Speed Insights and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Page Speed Insights account.
