What Particle Libraries (BYOK) is for

Particle Libraries (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Particle Libraries data through the Particle Libraries API with a key you supply (Particle access token). Read-only: 5 tools (list_libraries, search_libraries, get_library, list_library_versions, list_build_targets). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.particle.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Particle Libraries. Particle Libraries and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What are the most popular official Particle firmware libraries?"
  • "Find Particle libraries for NeoPixel LEDs"
  • "Show the Particle library InternetButton"
  • "Which versions of the Particle library InternetButton exist?"
  • "Which Device OS versions can I build Particle firmware against?"

What it does

  • list_libraries: List firmware libraries (public ones plus the token user's private ones) with name, latest version, installs, license, summary and repository. Filter by scope and architecture, sort by popularity or date.
  • search_libraries: Search firmware libraries by part of the name and return name, latest version, installs, license, summary and repository.
  • get_library: Get one firmware library's latest (or a given) version: name, version, install count, license, summary, repository and download link.
  • list_library_versions: List all published versions of a firmware library with version, install count and download link.
  • list_build_targets: List the Device OS firmware versions that can be used as build targets, per platform, plus the default version of each platform.

BYOK key

You bring your own Particle Libraries Particle access token (https://console.particle.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.particle.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Particle Libraries API (api.particle.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.particle.io/reference/cloud-apis/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Particle Libraries. Particle Libraries and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Particle Libraries account.
