What Particle Products (BYOK) is for

Particle Products (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Particle Products data through the Particle Products API with a key you supply (Particle access token). Read-only: 10 tools (list_my_products, get_product, list_product_firmware, get_product_firmware, list_product_groups, get_online_metrics, get_event_metrics, get_function_call_metrics, get_variable_request_metrics, get_fleet_sim_usage). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.particle.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Particle Products. Particle Products and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Particle products do I have?"
  • "Show the Particle product my-product"
  • "Which firmware versions does my Particle product have and how many devices run each?"
  • "Show version 3 of the firmware of Particle product my-product"
  • "Which device groups does my Particle product have?"
  • "How many devices of my Particle product were online each hour yesterday?"

What it does

  • list_my_products: List the Particle products the token's user can access with id, platform id, name, slug, description and device groups.
  • get_product: Get one Particle product: id, name, slug, description, platform id, organization and device protection status.
  • list_product_firmware: List all firmware versions uploaded to a product with version, title, description, file size, whether it is the product default, upload time, released groups and device count.
  • get_product_firmware: Get one firmware version of a product by its version number.
  • list_product_groups: List the device groups of a product with name, description, firmware version and colour. Optionally filter by part of the group name.
  • get_online_metrics: Count the product devices that had an active cloud connection per time bucket, optionally by firmware version, Device OS version or group.
  • get_event_metrics: Count the events devices of a product published per time bucket.
  • get_function_call_metrics: Count Particle.function calls on product devices per time bucket by outcome: success, failure or offline.
  • get_variable_request_metrics: Count Particle.variable reads on product devices per time bucket by outcome: success, failure or offline.
  • get_fleet_sim_usage: Get the fleet-wide cellular data used by a product in the current billing period: total megabytes, active SIM count and usage per day.

BYOK key

You bring your own Particle Products Particle access token (https://console.particle.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.particle.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Particle Products API (api.particle.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.particle.io/reference/cloud-apis/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Particle Products. Particle Products and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Particle Products account.
