What PDFMonkey (BYOK) is for

PDFMonkey (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own PDFMonkey data through the PDFMonkey API with a key you supply (PDFMonkey secret API key). Read-only: 5 tools (get_current_user, list_documents, get_document, list_templates, get_template). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.pdfmonkey.io. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many PDFMonkey documents do I have left on my plan?"
  • "Which PDFMonkey documents failed to generate recently?"
  • "What is the status of this PDFMonkey document?"
  • "Which PDFMonkey templates do I have?"
  • "Show the content of this PDFMonkey template"

What it does

  • get_current_user: Show the PDFMonkey account: plan, billing interval, remaining document quota and trial end (no email or token is returned).
  • list_documents: List generated documents (24 per page) with status, template, file name and dates, filtered by template, status, workspace, update time or search text. Payloads are not included.
  • get_document: Get one generated document's status card: template, file name, failure cause and dates.
  • list_templates: List the templates of a workspace (without their body) with edition mode, draft flag, output type and PDF engine.
  • get_template: Get one template with its HTML body, styles, sample data and settings.

BYOK key

You bring your own PDFMonkey PDFMonkey secret API key (https://pdfmonkey.io/docs/api/authentication/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.pdfmonkey.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
