What Percy (BYOK) is for

Percy (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Percy data through the Percy API with a key you supply (Percy read-only project token). Read-only: 5 tools (get_project, list_builds, get_build, list_snapshots, get_snapshot). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to percy.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Percy. Percy and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Percy project is my token for, and how much have I used?"
  • "Did my recent Percy builds pass review?"
  • "Show details of this Percy build"
  • "Which snapshots of this Percy build need review?"
  • "Show details of this Percy snapshot"

What it does

  • get_project: Show the Percy project the token belongs to: name, slug, type, default base branch, workflow, usage this period and screenshot limit.
  • list_builds: List recent Percy builds (last 30 days, newest first) with branch, state, review state, snapshot and comparison counts and failure reason. Page with 'cursor'.
  • get_build: Get one Percy build by id: branch, state, review state, snapshot and comparison counts, failure reason and timings.
  • list_snapshots: List the snapshots of a Percy build with name, review state, open comment count and test case. Page with 'cursor'.
  • get_snapshot: Get one Percy snapshot by id: name, review state and reason, open comments and rendering options.

BYOK key

You bring your own Percy Percy read-only project token (https://www.browserstack.com/docs/percy/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to percy.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

A Percy project token only reaches its own project. Use a read-only token (found on the project's Settings page in Percy).

Data sources

Live from the Percy API (percy.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.browserstack.com/docs/percy/api-reference/authentication. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Percy. Percy and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Percy account.
