What Perigon (BYOK) is for

Perigon (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Perigon data through the Perigon API with a key you supply (Perigon API key). Read-only: 8 tools (search_articles, search_stories, search_sources, search_journalists, search_companies, search_people, list_topics, get_usage_limits). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.perigon.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Perigon. Perigon and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What news was published this week about Nvidia?"
  • "What are the biggest news stories about elections today?"
  • "Which news sources cover technology in Germany?"
  • "Which journalists cover cybersecurity for wired.com?"
  • "What do you know about the company with ticker NVDA?"
  • "Who is the public figure named Satya Nadella?"

What it does

  • search_articles: Search news articles with Boolean query syntax and filters (source domain, language, country, category, topic, company ticker, date range). Returns title, description, AI summary, URL, publish date, source domain, byline and sentiment. Each call counts against the monthly request quota.
  • search_stories: Search stories, which are clusters of articles about the same event, with AI summary, article counts, unique sources and top countries.
  • search_sources: Search the news publishers Perigon indexes by name or domain, with country, category, traffic rank, paywall flag and published bias ratings.
  • search_journalists: Search journalist profiles by name, outlet, topic, category or country, with headline, publishing volume and public profile links. Email addresses are not returned.
  • search_companies: Search the company directory by name, ticker, domain, industry, sector or country, returning description, CEO, headcount, founding year, ISIN and ticker symbols.
  • search_people: Search public figures by name or occupation, returning description, aliases, occupations, positions and a short abstract.
  • list_topics: List the topic tags Perigon assigns to articles, optionally filtered by name or category.
  • get_usage_limits: Show the key's organization name, requests used and allowed this period, maximum page size and reset date.

BYOK key

You bring your own Perigon Perigon API key (https://perigon.io/products/pricing/apis). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.perigon.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Perigon API (api.perigon.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://perigon.io/docs/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Perigon. Perigon and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Perigon account.
