What Plausible (BYOK) is for

Plausible (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Plausible data through the Plausible API with a key you supply (Stats API key (plausible.io only, not self-hosted)). Read-only: 9 tools (get_realtime_visitors, get_aggregate_stats, get_timeseries, get_breakdown, list_sites, list_teams, get_site, list_goals, list_custom_properties). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to plausible.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Plausible. Plausible and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many visitors are on example.com right now?"
  • "How many visitors and pageviews did example.com have in the last 30 days?"
  • "Show daily visitors for example.com over the last 7 days"
  • "What are the top traffic sources for example.com this month?"
  • "Which sites do I have in Plausible?"
  • "Which Plausible teams can my key use?"

What it does

  • get_realtime_visitors: Get the number of people who viewed a page of the site in the last 5 minutes.
  • get_aggregate_stats: Get totals (visitors, pageviews, bounce rate and so on) for a site over a period, optionally compared with the previous period.
  • get_timeseries: Get a site's stats per day or per month over a period, for charting a trend.
  • get_breakdown: Break a site's stats down by one property such as page, source, country, device or UTM tag, ranked by the first metric.
  • list_sites: List the sites your Plausible key can read, with time zone, using cursor paging.
  • list_teams: List the Plausible teams the key can see, with whether the Stats API is available to each.
  • get_site: Get one site's time zone, custom properties and tracker script settings.
  • list_goals: List a site's conversion goals (custom events and page goals) with their type, name and path.
  • list_custom_properties: List the custom event property names defined for a site.

BYOK key

You bring your own Plausible Stats API key (plausible.io only, not self-hosted) (https://plausible.io/settings). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to plausible.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Plausible API (plausible.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://plausible.io/docs/stats-api-v1. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Plausible. Plausible and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Plausible account.
